The UNF is pleased to present the work of Yannick Monget, who has been able to alert and inform the world of the dangers facing our planet.
H.E Christophe Giovannetti, President of the UNF, recommends that everyone buys and offers schools the book “TERRES D AVENIR”.

Yannick  Monget  is  an  environmentalist  and  author who founded in France the Symbiom group (www.symbiom.org) with a certain number of personalities known throughout the world for their commitments  for  the  protection  of  the  environment and the promotion of peace ( starting with Bertrand Piccard – Solar Impusle, which he is very close to, but also astronauts, scientists, representatives of indigenous communities, artists…).

His  approach  is  based  on  the  art  he  puts  at  the service of science to raise awareness and inform on environmental  issues,  threats  to  humanity  and  the planet, but also the solutions that exist. He does this through books (he is a novelist and screenwriter) and author of several photodocumentary books published by Martinière in France (the home of photographer Yann Arthus Bertrand and d’Al Gore). He uses digital

technologies in particular to create photorealistic visual works which serve as a matrix for his work (his works were exhibited in a number of countries, such as the city of Paris during COP21) published in numerous media (National Geographic , Geo…) and have been the subject of major international exhibitions. “Terres d’Avenir”, (in French -), is available directly for sale at a price of €

28 (contact our secretariat for the purchase procedure).

Yannick  Monget  has  also  created  complete  educational  tools  for  schools,  with  educational advisers from national education in France (which include the book “Terres d’Avenir” * with in addition 6 textile fabrics presenting digital paintings, as well a teacher support document + a collection of environmental quotes + booklets for each student in the classes which can also be purchased for 190 euros).

This book and this educational tool have indeed been a real success with students. It is used in France in schools ranging from kindergarten to university (but especially college-high school). Some  of  its  contents  have  even  been  used  for  subjects  on  the  baccalaureate  or  in  school textbooks from other countries (such as Germany), proof of the educational value of the book

UNF – 66 Avenue des Champs Elysées – 75008 – Paris – France

which explains through images and words to students the reality of our world, challenges, climate problems and solutions for the future.

In his search for partners and patrons to sell his books and educational tools, he is supported moreover by UNESCO which proposed to take charge of the distribution of books and tools in French-speaking countries, in France, but also in African countries where we know that schools would never have the opportunity to acquire this kind of quality educational tools and books.

Personalities also support him in this educational and awareness-raising project, such as Hindu Oumarou Ibrahim from Chad who offered to sponsor the operation alongside if it was intended for schools.

The UNF is pleased to support the initiative of Yannick Monget.

Reactions and tributes are flowing and are not counted so much they are numerous on the part of the French population but also of all the leaders of the planet.
It must be said that Jacques Chirac had an extraordinary destiny. Deputy of Corrèze, Mayor of the city of Paris, Prime Minister and President of the French Republic from 1995 to 2007 before leaving public life, he is the man in hand tense in his country but also abroad.

Open to the world, we must remember that he is the first to invent the concept of organizing the Francophonie. In addition, this relaxed, uninhibited, warm and goodnatured President recognized, from an early age, non-Western civilizations and defended the primal arts, with the creation of the Musée des arts premiers Quai Branly in Paris in 2006.
Emmanuel Macron, current President of the French Republic during his televised address to pay homage to him declares «  He was an extraordinary personality who has often made good
decisions ».
This is indeed the man who said no to the war in Iraq and who recognized the Palestinian people.
This has earned him a high popularity in the Arab world. Open to the world, he was committed to Europe but also to the world and particularly to the African continent.

Jacques Chirac was a lover of Africa, of his aestheticism, his people, his memory. Heir to General de Gaulle and Georges Pompidou, a man of networks, he created close ties and friendship with
the leaders of this continent and protected the allied regimes of France. He allowed the cancellation of debts of these countries and developed the global fund for AIDS and malaria. This
endearing, benevolent man accompanied the evolutions of the continent in a new spirit. Jacques Chirac will remain in our memories for what he has done and defended with conviction.
Let’s not forget that it was he proclaimed that “the house burns” while talking about our planet in danger. Premonitory sentence and terrible news.

Christophe Giovannetti – President of the UNF, joins all the tributes paid to say to him: goodbye Mr. President.

June 7, 2014 – Mediterranean Sea / Italy: Italian navy rescues asylum seekers traveling by boat off the coast of Africa. More than 2,000 migrants jammed in 25 boats arrived in Italy June 12, ending an international operation to rescue asylum seekers traveling from Libya. They were taken to three Italian ports and likely to be transferred to refugee centers inland. Hundreds of women and dozens of babies, were rescued by the frigate FREMM Bergamini as part of the Italian navy’s “Mare Nostrum” operation, launched last year after two boats sank and more than 400 drowned. Favorable weather is encouraging thousands of migrants from Syria, Eritrea and other sub-Saharan countries to arrive on the Italian coast in the coming days. Cost of passage is in the 2,500 Euros range for Africans and 3,500 for Middle Easterners, per person. Over 50,000 migrants have landed Italy in 2014. Many thousands are in Libya waiting to make the crossing. (Massimo Sestini/Polaris)

Territoriality, sovereignty, identity are the benchmarks of governments that analyze migration flows and manage border crossing. They are the logical preoccupations of repression or acceptance of the migrant with security. However, we must not forget the public health that is present. But is it sufficient, however, among peoples and nations?

What about health systems around the world especially in countries ravaged by conflict? Is social protection at the heart of the provisions affecting the entry and residence of foreigners?

WHO has been providing humanitarian responses and since 2016 has been committed to strengthening health systems and achieving universal health coverage.

In addition, a further step was taken in 2018 with the establishment of a global health pact for safer and more elaborate migration, which should lead to a new 2020 health framework, the result of a concerted Member States.

This framework will certainly enable decision-makers to have a clearer vision of needs. However, we must mobilize on the ground in order to have effective solutions and to allow each person traveling without discrimination of sex, age, religion, nationality or race and to each host country, whatever the legal status to benefit of this protection.

We must ensure the interest of migrants but also to the host countries. In this context, access to vaccination to avoid the importation of infectious agents and prevention measures on mosquito bites are issues dealt with by the UNF, which is associated with the implementation of the global program of Malaria control, which aims to reduce the case of malaria by 2030 by at least 90% and to eliminate it in at least 35 countries.

The UNF, whose objective is to strengthen inter-country and inter-agency coordination and collaboration, is associated with concrete and immediate interventions in this area, provides a forum for belligerents and makes its experts in this field available.

Installation of two Solar Power Plants in Cameroon thanks to the intermediation of H.E. Christophe Giovannetti, President of Union Nations Federation UNF.

Responding to the invitation of His Excellency the Minister of Energy Eloundou Essomba Gaston, his Excellency Christophe Giovannetti led a delegation composed of the leaders of AF Power for the construction of two solar power plants to complete the current offer of energy in Cameroon.
AF Power is already well known in Africa for the realization of its infrastructure and it is not the first time that H.E Christophe Giovannetti introduced this company successfully in Africa. Strong mutual trust has been established in recent years.

“Energy and electricity for all is the key to stability and social progress on the African continent and we must do everything we can to get it done within ten years,” said Christophe Giovannetti at the end of the meeting.

In France, in May, will be held at the field of Longchamps, the first festival of holidays and Ethical and sustainable travel organized by the ATS, the first national network of tour operators of fair and eco-green tourism which brings together 35 associations and 19 tour operators.

This initiative is welcome in the French landscape knowing that eco-tourism represents only 2% of the tourism offer.

Tourism, in general, is a tremendous lever for the local development of territories but it can not be done unbridled. You have to consider the environmental impact and protect the resources. For this, it is necessary to take the time of the exchanges, to avoid too many intermediaries in the organization of the journeys, to open oneself to immersion experiences and to set up participatory programs in connection with the reality of the countries.

The UNF defends responsible tourism, which protects nature and preserves terrestrial and maritime biodiversity. This eco-tourism is associated with green tourism and the defense of eco-systems.

Green tourism but also urban ecology that sets up reserves, eco-sites, uses products and renewable sources of non-toxic energy, contributes to the safeguarding of our planet and defends the needs of future generations.

The UNF will mark the important efforts of the nations. It highlights, for example, Tanzania, which currently stands out for its responsible tourist offer with eco-safaris among other things, which allow you to enjoy wildlife while protecting nature.

Initiatives are numerous but scattered. We must make them known to go further because educating allows to awaken the consciences but also to make enjoy the humanity of the experiences of each one.

What is the best way to stop mosquitoes from biting ?

In order to preserve the food chain, and respect for nature and health the inventors of
Moskitofree have developed a protection device against mosquito bites. It functions without
pesticides, insecticides, it is environmentally friendly and safe for public health. This device is
the ONLY reliable solution to protect oneself. What is this solution?
Mosquitoes use two sensors. The first is a heat sensor that allows the mosquito to spot its
prey. The second is an olfactory sensor that allows the mosquito to choose and bite his victim.
This olfactory sensor is the root source making the mosquito bite its prey. It is the body odors
that are the trigger of the mosquito’s will to bite. The innovative solution of Moskitofree is to
capture the molecules of body odor and CO2. The result is to make the prey totally invisible
and odorless for the mosquito who therefore refuses to bite.
The principle is to generate negative ions to neutralize the harmful particles by magnetic
actraction, forcing them to aggregate: the negative ions (anions) amalgamate the particles in
suspension. Many studies have shown that negative ions are safe and effective. The newly
formed particles become too heavy to stay in the air and fall to the ground, out of the air we
breathe.
Renowned scientists have succeeded in demonstrating that mosquitoes are endowed with
olfactory receptors that are highly sensitive to human body odor, for example from the
secretion of skin pores, such as sweat, hormones or carbon dioxide expelled during breathing
which either actracts or repulses them. Moskitofree’s technology is capable of disturbing and
modifying the recognition of the human and animal body odors.

Every year, the World Mosquito Day is celebrated in August 20, which commemorates the discovery of Sir Ronald Ross, British doctor who notes in 1897 that malaria is transmitted by insect bite. But in 2019, the 20th of August should make it possible to communicate as much as possible about the potential dangers of mosquito bites, the resulting diseases as well as preventive actions.

Partnerships, research, the world is organizing to fight against the major diseases of the insect bite. The insect that is responsible for transmitting malaria, chikungunya, dengue, zika and other vector-borne diseases that affect more than 600 million people worldwide. The mosquito is the deadliest animal on the planet.

Africa, Latin America, South-East Asia are affected but also today with the many international exchanges, Europe and especially France are mobilized against this scourge which spreads in almost all its departments.

States as well as researchers are at the maneuver. They are mobilizing to set up sensors that indicate the most affected points in the world, they use robotics, the sequencing of genes to make an early detection of diseases, new generation pesticides and insecticides  validated by WHO are distributed in 12 African countries to go to the most urgent. Finally, new products are on the market such as the Moskitofree which uses the most advanced technology.
The UNF in the framework of its missions supports the prevention actions in this field and will communicate widely and particularly during this world mosquito day on August 20, 2019.
