In France, in May, will be held at the field of Longchamps, the first festival of holidays and Ethical and sustainable travel organized by the ATS, the first national network of tour operators of fair and eco-green tourism which brings together 35 associations and 19 tour operators.
This initiative is welcome in the French landscape knowing that eco-tourism represents only 2% of the tourism offer.
Tourism, in general, is a tremendous lever for the local development of territories but it can not be done unbridled. You have to consider the environmental impact and protect the resources. For this, it is necessary to take the time of the exchanges, to avoid too many intermediaries in the organization of the journeys, to open oneself to immersion experiences and to set up participatory programs in connection with the reality of the countries.
The UNF defends responsible tourism, which protects nature and preserves terrestrial and maritime biodiversity. This eco-tourism is associated with green tourism and the defense of eco-systems.
Green tourism but also urban ecology that sets up reserves, eco-sites, uses products and renewable sources of non-toxic energy, contributes to the safeguarding of our planet and defends the needs of future generations.
The UNF will mark the important efforts of the nations. It highlights, for example, Tanzania, which currently stands out for its responsible tourist offer with eco-safaris among other things, which allow you to enjoy wildlife while protecting nature.
Initiatives are numerous but scattered. We must make them known to go further because educating allows to awaken the consciences but also to make enjoy the humanity of the experiences of each one.
