Press Release – 04/10/25
Guila Clara Kessous, Vice President of the UNF and UNESCO Artist for Peace, is organizing the International Forum for World Art Day, which will take place on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris.
Paris, April 10, 2025 – Christophe Giovannetti, President of the UNF, warmly invites all those who share these values to join this exceptional event.
A Global Event, a Contemporary Emergency
Entitled “Art and Human Dignity: Human Rights and Therapeutic Arts for a Culture of Peace”, the forum will bring together leading voices from the artistic, scientific, humanitarian, and political worlds to address a central question:
How can the arts help heal societies and build a more peaceful, just, and humane future?
In a world marked by conflict, division, and existential crises, this event aims to restore art to the heart of our social fabric. No longer a luxury, art will be affirmed as a vital necessity. Painting, music, dance, theater, poetry, digital arts — all artistic languages will be brought together to highlight their power of transformation, resilience, and reconciliation.
“Art is a right. It is the living expression of our shared humanity. It is also care, dialogue, and refuge. The time has come to recognize it as such on a global scale.”
— Dr Guila Clara Kessous
A Platform for Voices from Around the World
Through speeches, testimonies, and artistic performances, the forum will spotlight those who use art as a tool for engagement: committed artists, humanitarian doctors, educators, thinkers, and activists.
A full program — featuring renowned international guests and original creations — will be announced very soon.
